DEEWR
The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) implements government policies and programs to provide education and training opportunities for all Australians, to increase employment participation and to ensure fair and productive workplaces.
DEEWR has developed a coordinated system of stakeholders and lead agencies to promote and implement an industry-led vocational education and training (VET) system.
These include:
- Australian Qualifications Framework
- Australian Quality Council
- National Training Forum
- State and Territory Training Authorities
- Industry Skills Councils
- Registered Training Organisations.
Government Skills Australia receives funding from DEEWR to involve industry in the development of nationally recognised VET.
