2009 Australian safer communities awards |
 The Australian Safer Communities Awards, sponsored by Emergency Management Australia in conjunction with State and Territories, recognise best practice and innovation by organisations and individuals that have developed and successfully implemented an initiative which helps to build safer communities across Australia.
The awards cover all aspects of community safety in the context of emergency management including:
- risk assessment
- research
- education and training
- information and knowledge management
- prevention preparedness response and recovery.
Entries for the 2009 awards must be submitted by 3 July 2009.
