Public Safety Industry Overview - Powerpoint

This Powerpoint document provides details on what constitutes the Public Safety industry and how specific industries are represented within Public Safety and Government Skills Australia. This Powerpoint presentation was delivered at information sessions Nationally between May and September 2007.

Version 6 of PUA00

Version 6 of the PUAOO Public Safety Training Package has been endorsed by the National Quality Council and agreed to by the Ministers in July 2007.

Phase II of the PUA00 Review (Development and Validation)

Phase II (Development and Validation) of the Review of the PUA00 Public Safety Training Package has commenced, following the completion of Phase I (Scoping) which analysed the endorsed components against current and anticipated assessment and training across all public safety industry sectors. Identification and initial recommendations for improvements have been proposed through comprehensive consultation, research and analysis and have been approved by the industry. A detailed plan for action to address the gaps and needs for redevelopment has been produced, and provides the basis for the two year timetable for endorsement. The sectors have commenced preparatory work.

PUA00 Public Safety Training Package - Information Sessions

The information sessions that were conducted between May and Setember 2007 provided details on what constitutes the Public Safety industry and how specific industries are represented within Public Safety and Government Skills Australia. Anyone with an interest in the definition of occupational outcomes, interoperability between sectors and the quality and currency of training can review the slides for these sessions.
