Government Skills Australia

Government Skills Australia is responsible for the management of projects aimed at achieving the products and services contracted by DEST and prioritised through industry advice.

In 2006, GSA has managed the following projects:

• The Review of the Water Industry Training Package,
  now finished and waiting endorsement.
• The Review of the Correctional Services Training Package,
  now finished and waiting endorsement.
• The Review of the Public Safety Training Package;
  Stage 1 scoping report has finished and will be availble in early 2007.
• Employability Skills for the Local Government Training Package. now finished and waiting endorsement.
• Employability Skills for the Public Sector Training Package now finished and waiting endorsement.
• Editing existing support resources for the Public Sector Training Package. For more information on this project check the Public Sector site.
• Editing exisiting support resources for the Local Government Training Package. For more information on this project check the Local Government site.
• Identifying the common skills across Local Government and Public Sector.
• E-learning resources for Statutory Planning and Government Procurement. These projects are in the final stages of development and will be piloted in mid 2007.
