Training Package Review
The Public Sector Training Package was reviewed and endorsed in 2004. It is DEEWR's policy that after the completion of this second structured review, Training Packages will be reviewed by a process of continuous improvement. GSA has a Training Package Feedback Register as a means of collecting and analysing information from RTOs, key stakeholders in industry and the VET system about the issues arising from implementation of the Training Package. Periodically, GSA will propose changes to the Training Package, on the advice of the Industry Advisory Committee, and based on the validation of issues.

 

hobart2DEST will provide resources to GSA to develop an improvement process using the GSA website and a range of consultation strategies including the State and Territory RTO Reference Groups. The aim is to establish a process of gradual improvements as the practices and standards of the industry evolve. DEST is yet to confirm the practical issues of continuous improvement and version management, and is yet to address the problems associated with regular version changes such as the maintenance of record and reporting systems and the resource implications of changing support materials.
