The representation of industry interests in the work of Government Skills Australia is fundamental to achieving the government's objective of an industry lead national training system.
The Key Performance Indicators of both DEST and GSA require the Industry Skills Council to provide support to small, medium and large enterprises and to establish effective industry and training networks which ensure that industry has high quality and relevant Training Packages to develop the skills needed by industry.
In GSA this network support is provided through:
